Day 4

Overnight most had sold, and I now had a new Slasher, Imicus, and Crucifier. Wallet now sitting at 153k with 167k in escrow.

Even though I said I’d refine ships I couldn’t fly, I did a bit of evaluating and decided I’d make more from the Imicus by purchasing the Gallente Frigate skill and taking the time to learn how to fly it. So I’ve done just that, and now need only wait until I can fly it.

Another executioner purchased during the day, and an Angel Copper Tag, which have been put up for sale, along with a few other minor items. Picked up the Imicus, returned it to Rens and put it up for sale.

Overall some promising trades, purchases and sales.

Wallet at 37k, 400k in escrow, 540k worth of stuff for sale, and a few good purchases maybe worth 400k to sell waiting to be picked up.

Day 3

The Acolyte II had sold overnight, as well as a couple of other modules, leaving me to begin with 140k in the wallet, with 40k in escrow, and a bunch of items to pick up – including two executioners. One of those will make a useful trading vessel as an upgrade to the Impairer I’ve been using until now, and the other can be sold.

It’s still not much isk, but getting closer to that point where better profits can be made on better purchases. Spending some time gathering up the remote goods for resale, then plan to update buy orders before the day is out. Began late today, so not much time to do things.

Finished up gathering the bits, put up one executioner for sale at 75k, along with a couple of bits and pieces worth probably 30k all up, and sold some mineral materials for about 10k. Put some buy orders up for some Angel tags to resell, region wide, eliminated some tedious mineral orders, and added more ships. The ships I may not be able to fly, but they will refine for far more than it costs to purchase if I’m successful. If the tags turn up in low-sec, hopefully I won’t lose them ferrying them out. Speaking of which, will need a clone sometime shortly in the coming days if I don’t want to forget what I’ve already learned when I die.

Wallet is at 28k, with 173.4k in escrow, and 133.5k to be made if things sell – though I was taught in Hedion University that you rarely, if ever, sell everything at the price you initially enter it. So that income will be, optimistically, about 133k.

Hopefully there are some more nice purchases during the night, as well as sales of stock.

Day 2

Sales had been very slow overnight, nothing impressive. Time to re-evaluate orders. Going to get rid of most orders and replace them with purchases of drone alloys, and maybe minerals. It’s a scavenger’s purchase, but have to start small, especially when not running any missions to get the initial isk. 5,000 is not a very large starting nest-egg.

A few purchases have been made, but nothing impressive. Headed to Sinq Laison to buy an Acolyte II to sell in Rens. Discovered that I’d be better purchasing it in Aufay and reselling in Dodixie just three jumps away, than making the journey back to Rens. If it sells quick enough, I might buy another two, and keep going until I have a decent pile of 1-2 mil to work off, or more.

Turns out it didn’t sell. Things moving slow.

Day 1

Day 1 - Today I began my career as a capsuleer, having graduated from the Hedion University School in Sehmy. I immediately swore to began my life as a trader, not running missions for another, or killing pirates for profit. With just my 5,000 ISK that I managed to save before graduating, I began my life as a trader.

Reprocessed my Damage Control I and noticed that the sale of the minerals was more than the price it was selling for in station. Purchased a few, refined, used the cash to purchase more, until all 20 had been purchased. Wallet was 29,800 ISK, up from the starting 5,000. Noticed another station, in Kor-Azor, was selling 63 of them at the below-manufacturing cost price. Headed there and did the same.

Kor-Azor didn’t seem much like a hub, so I decided against reselling the Damage Control I’s on market for slightly higher than their true value – I needed isk now, not later. After cleaning out that area, wallet sat at 111,600 ISK. This Ni-Kunni trader had to hear down into the station for some drinks, so I set up some buy orders in Sehmy in the hopes they might fill while he was afk.

At the moment there are many competing priorities to establish myself in this competitive world – need to learn to fly an industrial, need to hone my learning abilities to reduce time spent in the future, and need isk in the wallet to make more. That in mind, I purchased Instant Recall with my remaining isk and set about honing my memory for the many days of learning ahead. Wallet down to 5.9k ISK with 59.7k in escrow.

Things weren’t working well, Kor-Azor is quiet, so I decided to set my ships engines to Rens, with 82.2k in the wallet. Buy orders removed.

Having arrived at Rens, I put up buy orders for a few different t1 frigates, destroyers and industrials, along with a few modules, hoping someone would sell them to me very cheaply within a short order of time. The Ni-Kunni are unscrupulous and ruthless businessmen, and we know how to turn a profit. People do sell cheaply, it’s just a matter of how long before it happens. Only one bite, so off to a slow start.
